    I honestly think the best way to learn is to start from the very beginning and learn as Satoshi did.

    That's how i got started. Check out my post here with the relevant links but i suggest you go through the process on your own.

    It looks intimidating because it's "academicy" but you only need to focus on the basics. If you spend two half hour sessions reading the whitepaper, references and emails - you'll know more than most people.
