If you don't mind sharing of course...

As I dabble around in this world of crypto, I can't help but think I'm doing it all wrong. Not hard to back up that statement of course when I look at my ever-decreasing account balance!

BUY AND HOLD

In the beginning, my strategy was just to buy and hold bitcoin. But after a while that didn't seem to be working. In fact it got kind of boring. And especially just over the fence I could see altcoins making huge gains - 30%, 300% and even 3000%! So why then am I just holding bitcoin?

LOW CAP ALTCOINS

I started chasing low cap altcoins in the hope that I would strike it lucky, only to see my account balance drop 80%! Arrgghhhh!!

TOP 10 CRYPTOS

Changing tack again (and of course after scraping together some more cash together), I decided I would only invest only in the top 10 cryptos, as these seemed to have a great product and community behind them. This seemed to work for a while, I was still making very good money. But I guess even a monkey can make money in a rising market.

ICOs

So I tried my hand investing in ICOs, but that was very short-lived and unless you got out straight away, you were left holding the can. However I suspect I got on that train a little too late.

BUY AND HOLD AGAIN OR CASH OUT TO FIAT?

So here we are then. The market has peaked and suddenly I'm down 30% again. Fortunately this time its profits I've given up but now my original buy and hold strategy is suddenly looking attractive again, especially given Bitcoin seems to have remained relatively strong throughout. Or should I just sit out of the market? Based on history, there could still be a long way to fall and I'm really keen to get it right this time.

Seriously I feel like I'm changing my strategy more than I change my underwear. So please comment below. I'd love to hear what others are doing!
