If only all countries would welcome cryptocurrencies, that would be so good. But on the bright side we are seeing a lot of acceptance/regulation, even if a few bans are getting a lot of airtime in the media.
For most of the world, it's business as usual. As long as you pay taxes on your cryptocurrency, there's nothing to be afraid of IMO.
regarding taxes on crypto... have you heard any "official" info lately on how exactly that's supposed to work?
word was a while back that we're only really liable to pay tax on anything that we convert from crypto to fiat at that point of conversion. though I've also heard that we may potentially be liable for any Steemit rewards at the time they're earned, considered as income, and/or capital gains on overall portfolio, regardless of whether it's converted to fiat or not...
I don't think there are any official statements on steem. I do know that the IRS has issued some basic rules for bitcoin in America.
