SIAcoin and HBO's Silicon Valley
Really, someone finally developed Pied Pipers mesh technology and scaled it to one day compete with Amazon, Dropbox, and other cloud data storage solution companies???!!!! Similar to Pied Piper, SIA stores tiny pieces of your information in nodes across the globe. The big question is did HBO's idea or SIA come first?
SIA created a solution to fight the high prices of Amazon's S3. While Amazon is super reliable it costs 10x per month to use its services. SIAcoin offers the same plan for a measly $2.00 per month. According to SIAs website, the technology splits apart, encrypts, and distributes your files across a decentralized network. Since you hold the keys, you own your data. No outside company can access or control your files, unlike traditional cloud storage providers (https://sia.tech).
SIAcoin is unique to this space because of the migration of the cloud to a decentralized blockchain. With the pressure mounting from the crypto community for Amazon to start accepting payments from digital currency platforms, will this force Amazon to look at a company such as SIA to purchase?
If Amazon or a large company purchases this technology the Siacoin will obviously sky rocket.
For a small investment you can obtain several thousand shares of SIA to anticipate a long term hold. I'm not sure if the coin will actually ever be worth anything, but if a large company purchases SIA the coin will jump super fast.
As always do your OWN research and only invest what YOU are willing to lose.
Best of luck to SIA and Happy Hunting.

This is a thought I've had for SIA for a long time coming now tbh. I imagine either Amazon, Google, or even Apple might pick them up.
Game changer to cloud storage if this happens!
just finished season 4, I was thinking it Richard's idea was based off Filecoin but Im looking more into to Sia now, Thanks!
The speed of downloading according to Taek, Sia dev, "Downloads on Sia today typically run at about 80mbps. (the graph is really spiky though, it'll spike between about 40mbps and 300mbps)."
Can anyone confirm ?
Hopefully faster speeds in the future, only then it could be the next Pied Piper!
