RE: Man tries to sell Fake Bitcoin for €13.000 (+_ $15.000) or a reasonable bid

in #bitcoin8 years ago (edited)

I have a few of those gold plated 1oz copper "Bitcoins", two silver ("1/4 Bitcoin") and a single bronze one too, that I purchased for about a dollar each, a few years ago.

I also have a 1oz pure silver "Litecoins" which was more expensive than actual Litecoins when I purchased that one.

Unfortunately, I missed out on the STEEM 1oz silver coins, I'd been off Steemit for a little bit and missed the opportunity.

I knew what I was getting though and I got them for my coin collection. It's a terrible shame to see someone using them to scam people.

Sort:

i did not even knew they had real silver ones i thought all of them where gold plated for the gold colors and some sort of alloy for the silver collored ones , those are really cool but i would not order one where i live i have never seen those ,
i live in the netherlands

The silver "Litecoin", which you can see in the photo, is actually marked as "25 Litecoins" and is actually a .999 pure silver round having real value. The copper "Bitcoins" are simply collected for fun.

You can get them online if you'd really want to collect them, if you can't get them in the Netherlands. I just found this one too: https://forum.bitcoin.com/items-for-sale/1oz-999-fine-silver-bitcoin-rounds-t11339.html I think I'd like at least one of those for my collection too

I'm mostly looking forward to coming across a silver STEEM round to add to my collection though.
