Investing in Bitcoin with friends
As a newcomer looking to invest in Crypto Currency your friends can be your best friends and your worst enemies. Well, perhaps enemies is too strong a word but you will get my gist.
I got excited about a month and a half ago with Bitcoin (early October), invested some money and encouraged two friends to get involved. I joined a group which I had to exit for personal reasons and made contact with a customer of one of my health products.
She, being an honest person and looking out for my best interest, encouraged me to get into an Asian company (no name to offend anyone) and rather than the 35 dollars she invested I jumped in eagerly with a bit more.
To cut a long story short after almost a month it appeared the company was a scam. They never replied to a single email, online message, their telegram did not work, yet there was a Facebook page with fellow-duped investors promoting it and saying all will be ok.
And then there were the Youtube videos by honest folk who thought they were doing people a favour. urging you on. And there were lots of explanatory videos by other presumably honest people explaining how everything would work.
I haae since moved from stressed to infuriated to accepting it was a scam and moving on.
I always wanted to trade or invest in this way, having been trained internationally.
And it’s alluring. The idea you could make money. Sure, everyone tells you to only invest what you can afford to lose. But honestly, who wants to invest and lose anything?
I have since diversified my portfolio, been eating, drinking and sleeping Crypto Currency and improved my knowledge and become wiser. Learning not to panic and looking for people like myself to help them avoid the scam I encountered.
This is not the end of the journey but a short bend in the river, leading, hopefully, to a bountiful landing.
Safe and happy investing!
