I ask you, at first glance, which chart below is that of XVG/BTC? The very high pattern similarity index is due to uniformity of sentiment across the cryptosphere. It's at times called "All the Same Market" and this can also be seen in the equities market where the charts of the DOW and SPX are almost indistinguishable.
The below is that of XVG/BTC...what a beauty! A Bullish Cup & Handle pattern is a work of art! The cup form and the handle form on XVG/BTC is vintage classic and as price breached out of the handle and subsequently completed multiple waves...the trend is clearly up! Remember ZEN? Consider XVG/BTC following closely on Zen's heels!
Cup & Handles come in varying sizes and shapes, but all are very pretty!

Me too. I think Verge could become the #3 coin with privacy features. I'm not a cryptographer. But after my digging I trust zk-SNARK more than anything. PIVX use ZeroCoin protocol and Dash has time tested unbroken privacy without even using encryption. Plus both coins are much more suited for mainstream adoption. Apart from Dash and PIVX, XVG is my favorite and I think it has a long way to go.

What's your timeframe for $0.04-0.05? End of the year? Don't you think delay on Wraith Protocol pulled back the price a lot? Most alts pumped since yesterday and XVG still at 95 sats.
Events and news don't drive the market; rather market makes the news and events. Elliott Waves states that news or events shall arrive to justify the forecast, never reverse. Timeline coudl be Q1 2018
