Good News for Litecoin (LTC) On The Horizon

in #bitcoin6 years ago

Litecoin, like most cryptos this year, has taking a beating, down about 85% from its all-time highs.

But there may be some catalysts on the horizon.

We have the Litecoin Summit coming up on September 14 and 15 in San Francisco.

Hosted by the Litecoin Foundation, it’s the first ever blockchain conference for Litecoin.

Some notable speakers:

Charlie Lee – Litecoin creator

Eric Winer – VP of Engineering at Gemini Exchange

Elizabeth Stark – CEO of Lightning Labs

Diego Gurierrez Zaldivar – CEO of RSK Labs

Bill Barhydt – CEO of Abra

Adam Draper – Managing Director of Boost VC

Check out here for more information.

What’s interesting is that Eric Winer, VP of Engineering at Gemini Exchange, is speaking.

Now it’s being rumored that Gemini is exploring Litecoin and it could be added to the Gemini Exchange. That of course would likely give it a price bump.

But keep in mind there’s been no official announcement yet.

Another interesting tidbit… US Representative Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii released her latest financial disclosure. She owns Litecoin (LTC) and Ethereum (ETH). I want to know, where’s the bitcoin?

What do you think of Litecoin, will we ever reach the all time high again?

Litecoin is one of the best coin in cryptoworld it will be like ethereum so its the good time to buy it.

I personally don't hold any BTC (I know, I know, its a sin in the crypto space to say that...) and I instead tend to hold LTC in its place in my portfolio (as I feel it has more real-world use-case potential overall).

Don't get me wrong, BTC is great and all BUT I think LTC having more leadership, marketing, flexibility gives it a bit of an advantage over BTC in the end and LTC will likely be more easily adopted for real-world use cases then BTC will be as time goes on, with a larger supply, faster upgrades/updates, and cheaper transaction costs overall.

I truly think the concept of BTC being a store of value (gold), and LTC being an actual currency that is used en masse (silver) will be seen as more and more accurate as time goes on (both will likely succeed in the long-run and go up in value but their actual use-cases will likely really start to separate from eachother as time goes on and the space evolves).

isn’t Litecoin too big of a coin to get a price bump form exchange listings?

If possible I always prefer to use litecoin instead of bitcoin to make purchases. Litecoin transaction fee and confirmation time are much more convenient.
