A Tale of Two Charts. Are people realizing that Crypto 2.0 is better?

in #bitcoin7 years ago (edited)

Wow: what a day.

But I am not worried, why? Two reasons:

One, I saw the writing on the wall a couple months ago. Transaction fees were skyrocketing on Bitcoin and transactions took forever so I diversified out of Bitcoin. What is the point of owning a coin that was so difficult to use? Is this really the coin you would suggest to new crypto people? Hell no, at least I wouldn't.

Two, I made the BOLD prediction that Ethereum would overtake Bitcoin in 2018. So I put my money where my mouth is. I cashed out most of my bitcoin, diversified in Monero, BitcoinCash, Steem, and Ethereum.

I am not regretting it.

Friends that know me are aware I have dabbled in crypto for just over two years now. I am far from an expert but when you can pick up on trends and keep your finger on the pulse of crypto a lot of aspects of it become relatively intuitive.

These past two months I have had roughly 5 friends ask about investing in Bitcoin. My answer was mostly: DON'T. If you want go ahead, but I told them to look at Ethereum. I told them diversify. Partially Bitcoin, partially BitcoinCash, partially Monero but mostly in Ethereum.

Those friends are not nearly as upset as some people I know that blindly bought at 15k.

I took some screenshots of Bitcoin and Ethereum from Coinbase... And the difference is drastic. So, let me ask you, is 2018 the year of Ethereum?
