RE: For anyone looking to get involved with Bitcoin

Thanks. I find it strangely worded. For example, "what problem does it solve? many people lack access to banks". But Bitcoin doesn't solve that problem (it does not get people access to banks). Does it get people access to a segment of the banking system? Yes, it can. But that requires a smart device and/or government ID. So does it really get you away from banker and government control? No, it doesn't. I have tried for many years to use Bitcoin. I'm unbanked (I can not use the banking system at all, ever) so it would be really nice, but I have found it completely impossible without a smart device (which I will never use). is it really "crypto" if it requires government ID and privacy-destroying devices? Not to me. I feel that Bitcoin is a great experiment but won't become a currency. It may become a novelty item and form of digital gold, but that is yet to be seen. I got involved with BTC back in 2011 and regret it.
