Feds Seize 500+ Bitcoin and 500+ BCash from drug lord

"The US government seized more than 513 bitcoins and 512 Bitcoin Cash from Aaron Shamo last year after arresting him for selling synthetic pharmaceuticals containing fentanyl on dark net markets. Shamo was also busted with 500,000 pills and $1 million in cash stuffed into trash bags, according to authorities."

With the recent bear market for Bitcoin, the Feds are doing everything they can to capitalize "before the bubble bursts."

In 2014, US Marshals auctioned off ~30,000 bitcoins. Today that would be worth almost $531 million. They clearly didn't learn anything from the seizure and are willing to offload this cache immediately rather than watch it grow with the future market.
