Is Bitcoin Still a Baby? Or Are We Past the Crypto Infancy? How grown-up is Bitcoin?

What occurs during the infancy stage of a child? And, how does it relate to Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies? No doubt, there’s an astonishing amount of development that occurs in this early stage of life. For example, babies figure out how to crawl. Before they can crawl though, they must have mastered some control of their arms and legs. Have you ever seen a baby waving their arms and legs uncontrollably in a stroller or in a crib? Looks like they would just take off running if you were to place them on the floor.

Then before you know it, they begin to take their first steps. They are very cautious at first and hold on to things like chairs, coffee tables and parents fingers. But then you look away and all of a sudden they start walking toward something, and they make it! Now they feel like they can conquer the world and they take more risks. As parents, we get excited and we go and grab the camera and call everyone one into the room to watch as the child excitedly gets ready to walk again. This time the excitement gets to the child and now their feet seem to move way faster than before and then we all gasp as the child falls to the floor like a small tree where no one had the chance to yell timber. As a result, the child is very hesitant to try walking again for a very, very long time.

Then you hear it, “mama” or “dada”. At first you can’t believe what you just heard. You need someone else to confirm what you think you just heard so you call out to or grab the nearest person and ask them, “Did you just hear what I heard?”. Now it is on, you start calling everyone on your contact list to tell them about your child's advancement and the fact that they are just a few months old and they are already walking and talking.

And yet with so much growth and advancement, the child is still an infant. What about Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies? Are they still in the infant stage? Can you make a connection with the early stages of an infant child with that of Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies? In this case, who do the parents represent?
