HSBC Completes ‘World’s First’ Blockchain Trade Finance Deal

Well its official UK based bank HSBC confirms that they completed the worlds first trade transaction through the block chain earlier last week. HSBC completed a letter of credit for the largest private company in the US, Cargill. The deal consisted of a soy bean shipment from Argentina to Malaysia. This successful transaction opens up a world of opportunities in the global trade finance market which is a 9 Trillion dollar industry. As a fellow crypto currency and block chain supporter I feel this is a huge step forward toward mainstream adoption.
