Crypto Mining? What to mine as of today?

in #bitcoin7 years ago

Hello Fellow Miners and Crypto Enthusiast

Today I will be talking about a few coins that have been profitable in the past few months and some that are still greatly profitable today. Most newcomers to the mining world know about NiceHash and thats about it. After getting your feet wet you may discover other mining platforms such as Awesome miner, EthOs or Simple Miner. With these more complex mining software you are able to choose your own pools, coins and decide whether to convert directly to BTC or HODL for better returns. Along with this you learn about different types of wallets for each coin and get a better sense of how the technology actually works.

There are some websites out there like Whattomine.com that may give you a general idea of what to mine but most new projects with very low pool hash rates are not listed on there let alone Coin Market Cap. One example of this is Raven Coin (RVN). This coin is an open source project that had NO Ico NO Founders fee and NO Pre Mine. This coin uses the X16R algorithm which randomly changes between 16 different algorithms to help fend off ASIC miners. When this coin first came out miners where making almost $10 a day per 1080 TI card. Now that it is more popular and that the difficulty has increased the same 1080 TI will get you about $2-$3 a day.

Walton Chain has recently launched their main net and people are starting to mine this coin. Their wallet allows for 1 CPU or 1 GPU to mine at a time for this Coin. I have seen some miners out there create software to allow for multiple GPU mining of this coin. At this point there is no Pool for this coin so it is solo mining but the reward for each block is 2 Walton Coin. That is $10.90 X 2= $21.80. Right now with the market dipping as it is that is some amazing returns. Not to mention that Walton Coin was valued around $35 at its peak in late December. The software developers who created this multiple GPU mining software seem to be stingy and are not sharing this information with the mining community. If anyone has any information on how to set up multiple GPU mining on Walton Chain I would greatly appreciate it. Crypto and the mining community should be open source and fair for all.
