Robbed at gunpoint for Bitcoin. Safety Tips. ACTIVE SELF PROTECTION.
Crown Heights, Brooklyn New York, a 28 year old man is robbed at gunpoint for setting up a meeting with someone on Craigslist to purchase some Bitcoin. Upon meeting with the seller, a gun is pulled on the prospective buyer and he is forced to send $1100 dollars of Bitcoin to the seller's wallet.
This is not the first incident of this kind and more than likely will not be the last, unfortunately.
I highly recommend that every Steemit user, Bitcoin holder and cryptocurrency enthusiast check out:
ACTIVE SELF PROTECTION on YouTube.
These videos will absolutely be shocking to many of you but in this crazy day in age, we must always be prepared for the worst.
Not only do we have to deal with hackers, but now you must consider that any future face to face interactions involving any transaction having to do with cryptocurrency or not, will always bring about an element of danger that we must all be aware of and ready to protect ourselves.
Criminals will continue to come up with new and clever ways of carrying out their misdeeds especially when it comes to cryptocurrencies and so situations like the story above should teach us all a lesson and give us the tools to prepare in case we ever find ourselves in trouble.
This post may seem a little extreme but I hope it will help others to always have safety in mind first, before anything.
Please check out ACTIVE SELF PROTECTION and learn from it.
Peace.
This is a very significant and scarry development since you can easily send your entire cryptocurrency to someone in a private, or at least fairly stealth manner, with a single transaction. I am very concerned about this development.
I wonder if this will cut down on face to face BTC buying and selling?
