Is Bitcoin (gold) and Alts (silver)?
Question, who thinks that crypto will behave like gold and silver? Having a ratio. Like will Bitcoin always hold the top spot and the alt coins always be held lower? The gold to silver ratio floats around 1 to 70. I'm thinking of grabbing a few grand of ripple and ether classic. Thoughts?

I don´t think so. Bitcoin will only keep the first place in market cap if the transaction problem is fixed.
And even in that case I think the BTC dominance will not rise much more. The most technically advanced coin (those that allow creating tokens, or store data in the cloud, or rent computer power, or with Proof of Stake...) will keep growing faster than bitcoin.
So buying cheap coins with high market cap would be good for the short term? Maybe 5 years short term?
In my opinion Litecoin is silver to Bitcoins gold. I am not fond of most alts but have been holding Litecoin for years.
This is the "original" thought. But shit's changed. A lot. But yeah, most likely BTC will remain the standard because of it's finite cap. All other coin's value will be comparative to bitcoin if fiats crash once and for all. Not just LTC.

Oh ok, I see it also like visa and master card, I was too young during the credit card phase in but I bet there were many competitors and now we have definite winners being visa master card and American Express. So I was thinking maybe Bitcoin ether and ripple looks like a goer because they are working with banks and govs. There's probs good money to be made in alts over the next 5 years before the mass phase in.
