Hackers stole more than $1.7 million from Taylor startup, collected during the ICO.
Representatives of the Taylor blockchain project reported on the theft of funds raised by them in March within the ICO, as well as the project tokens that belonged to the team and active members of the community. The damage was 2 578,98 Ethereum (more than $ 1,7 million at the time of the robbery).
It is also noted that the coins that were in the pools for the founders and consultants remained untouched, as the operations with them are limited.
"Although we used appropriate precautions to prevent such a situation, we failed to prevent a high — level and well-designed attack, so now we have more questions than answers," the startup said.
After the incident, the project team contacted the IDEX exchange with the requirement to delist THE Tay token to prevent hackers from selling the stolen cryptocurrency. In addition, altcoin became unavailable for trading on the decentralized platform EtherDelta.
At the same time, some users did not exclude that the hacking was staged and even asked "whether the robbery was included in the project roadmap".
In their official address, the developers of Taylor promised not to abandon their plans to continue working on the platform to help novice traders. At the same time, the road map will be changed due to the circumstances.
