Are We Slipping Into A Recession And With Cryptos Be Effected ?

If there is one thing I have noticed between the stock market and crypto is they have started to follow each other rather closely this last year.

The difference between the two is that the stock market is only open for a few hours and only 5 days a week. (this week 4 due to a day off from president bush passing - my heart and all due respect go out to his family)

Today we say the 10 year note drop like a rock as no real information came out of the China/US trade wars other then they have so called agreed to terms.

We have seen cryptocurrency also drop off the board with no real reason behind it but then again stocks are starting to do the same. I honestly feel like this crypto sell off is spelling what will be happening in the stock market over the next few days/ weeks where we see a slump.

Mining difficulty has also dropped on bitcoin which is a welcome relief honestly for anyone that wants to boot up those CPUs and GPUs again you might be able to mine a decent amount lol (or at least more then you could before)

My feelings on this are as follows.

  1. The market in both cryptocurrency and stocks will overall be flat/fall in 2019 and leading 2020 end up into recession.
  2. After the recession hits (which is going to be prime time for stocking up and risking bitcoin and stocks) we should see growth - Legit no reason not to
  3. This should put cryptocurrency and stocks at prime buying in 2019 via the slump and 2021-2022 being golden years of profits as we start to launch off into space! - Moon mining and mars

What i'm not sure of

  1. Will bitcoin become a safe haven and increase in value during a recession ? hhmmmmmmm so far predictions say yes!

I legit find it wild to be talking about moon mining and mars in my lifetime I didn't think it was going to happen but very happy to see I will be able to be a part of it!

Crypto’s will get smashed with the stock & bond markets at first. They will not be allowed to be a safe haven if possible, they must be feared in order to be controlled by the big banks. The people can try to change this, but the fear manipulation is very powerful & well established. I think there will be a good deal of time for cost average opportunity ahead.

Crypto will become a safe haven if the central banks and governments inflate or devalue their way out of any potential crisis that could occur. If they figure out a way to achieve a “soft landing” for the slowdown then it could lead to a longer flat market in the asset class.

At this point, crypto will not be a safe haven for mainstream investors if there is a big collapse. When shit hits the fan on wall street, no traditional investor is going to be looking to buy a relatively unknown asset to them that has lost 80-90% of its value in 2018. Over time, as people rebuild their portfolios they will begin to see value in crypto over fiat and crypto adoption rate will begin to increase.

Recession is coming. I'm just hoping house prices go down. Anything else is an extra.
