Yeah, if a major country adopts a crypto currency, like Russia or so, it could bring a change. But I doubt they would use BTC. Rather something that works better in daily life and preferably a crypto that they created themself.
But that could bring new momentum into the whole crypto market. And it would mean a kick in the groin of the US dollar.
