Worries Grow That the Price of Bitcoin Is Being Propped Up

Hope so everyone fine know market is good last 5,6 days and there a lot of good news published about
crypto . hope so 2018 is the good for crypto and steemit lover's .

Just read an interesting article about Tether and how the government is freaking out because there might not be anything backing the coin.

I would guarantee you that 99% of those investing in crypto's have no idea of the complexity embedded in this technology. And this complexity could be masking price manipulation.

Here is a perfect example of one of those potential exposures. My only piece of advice would be that if you cannot afford to lose every single dollar of your investment, you should not be investing in crypto's.

Bitfinex, which is believed to host more trading than any other Bitcoin exchange in the world, had gained a reputation for a lack of transparency and a confusing structure, with European executives, offices in Asia and registration in the Caribbean.

In effect, Bitfinex has been accused of creating tether out of thin air, without corresponding US dollar deposits, in order to pump up the price of bitcoin. While Bitfinex insists all new “USDT” are backed by real dollar deposits, new tether issuances have coincided with dips in the price of bitcoin.
