Okay, so Bitcoin... WTF? 😂

Hey Steemit peeps! It's abax here, and I gotta be honest, I've been trying to wrap my head around this whole Bitcoin thing for ages. I mean, crypto in general. It feels like everyone's talking about it, and I'm just sitting here like 🤷‍♀️.

I first heard about Bitcoin way back when, probably like 2012 or something. I remember thinking, "Digital money? That's gotta be some kind of scam." I totally wrote it off. Big mistake, right? 🤦‍♀️

Now it's everywhere. My brother-in-law keeps telling me how he's making BANK on some new altcoin, and my coworker is always checking the price during lunch. I felt like I was missing out on something HUGE. So, I finally decided to dive in, even if it meant feeling completely lost for a while.

So, what have I learned? Well, it's complicated! It's not just some magic internet money printer (although, wouldn't that be cool? 😜). I understand the basics, like how it's decentralized and uses blockchain. I think I understand the blockchain, anyway. It's like a giant digital ledger, right? Everyone can see the transactions, but nobody can really mess with it. At least, that's how I picture it in my head.

I even bought a little Bitcoin! Just a tiny fraction of one, because, ya know, they're kinda pricey. 😅 I used Coinbase, which seemed pretty straightforward. I was kinda nervous clicking that "buy" button, but hey, gotta try new things, right? 🤞

Honestly, I'm still not sure what I'm doing. I'm not trying to become a day trader or anything. I'm just curious, and I don't wanna be the last one at the party to understand what's going on. I'm thinking of maybe trying to buy something with it, just to see how it works.
