Behold, the beauty of this magnificant bird could leave even the most experienced bird watcher breathless. It can be found in the Andean cloud forests of South America at altitudes of 485 - 2,440m and is also well known as the national bird of Peru. The males will find a small clearing known as a lek and then perform a wild energetic dance to attract a mate. However females will only lay about two eggs a year. The birds commonly feast on a variety of fruits and several insect species. They can also grow up to a foot in length. The Andean Cock-Of-The-Rock is truely an astounding sight to see.
