Changing Accounts

Hello. I'm Birderguy, and have decided I prefer to go as Birdbanter on Steemit as this more accurately discusses my interests and direction of posts. If you follow birderguy please consider following birdbanter as well, or instead as my new posts will be showing up here.

Female Wood Duck with babies. Wood Ducks are relatively common in our area of Western Washington, but can be secretive and hard to see. The male is very ornate as ducks go, but this female can be nearly invisible in the woodland ponds that it favors. These ducks nest in trees, and have a habit of laying their eggs in other Wood Duck's nests, to increase their gene pool going forward without adding to their parental care duties.
