Binance has replied to John McAfee via Twitter to confirm that they were not hacked. Link here: https://twitter.com/binance_2017/status/961635473591435265

John McAfee was spreading FUD that they were hacked and posting obviously fake screenshots on Twitter. This took off so much so that Binance felt it necessary to publicly respond to him on Twitter confirming they were not hacked which is a good sign for us, but is actually something we already knew because they already told us exactly what the problem was in this tweet from the CEO.

It is too hard for people to believe that if the devops team makes mistakes or is not well enough prepared then you can land yourself in a situation where you are stuck waiting for all of your databases to be resynced which can take some serious time.

Overall Binance looks like they are on track to still restore trading by 4:00AM UTC Feburary 9th. Here is the latest tweet indicating they are still on track: https://twitter.com/binance_2017/status/961644926520840192
