PREACHER
Farmer needs a field
Rancher needs a herd
Preacher needs a pulpit
From which to spread the Word
Some preachers use a little church
Some preachers build them large
But Billy saw a harvest
Beyond the normal size
His pulpit was a stadium
His tool the Word of God
The harvest was the souls of all who hearkened to the call
Of peace with God relief from sin and life forevermore
The work of Christ on Calvary's Cross
Supplied his energy
To spread the Truth around the world
Of Jesus and His Love
Billy Graham had a positive influence on my life. I remember watching one of his early Crusades for Christ as a young boy in Los Angeles in the 50's. I write this, simple as it is, as a tribute to his life and work.
