One of the things in life that every body would not trade is to have an almost perfect mate, one that would have attributes and characters that will complement or complete theirs. But we all tend to forget that we all as humans have limitations and can only possess traits and characters that are innate or that they've developed over the years.

No one is able to have attributes that close to perfection excerpt a few people who have come to understand and have chosen to live the life of true love. One of the great teachers that lived in this generation would say, "Would you marry you if you met yourself as a mate?"

We often want the best but do not endeavour to be the best.

We seek to reap what we have not sowed. It's been seen again and again that the people we end up with as our married partners are usually mirror images of who we truly are. We marry our kind. So, instead of looking out for someone who has no faults and who has qualities you admire so much, look out for your own self first. Build characters you would want your future partner to have.

Love starts with oneself. I'm not trying to advocate selfishness. I'm not talking of thinking you're better than others and wanting everyone to worship you as if the world revolves around you. No, I'm talking of seeing yourself as the focus of the love project. Focus on being the best you you can ever be. See yourself the way God sees you. Love your self even when it seems your ex left you for someone else. Do not see yourself as useless. You're not a piece of junk. Do not feel worthless or that you're not good enough.

No, that's not the case. As a matter of fact they weren't good enough for you. Love yourself and let joy spring from inside you even when it seems you're of age to be married but no one has approached you to ask for your hand in marriage. As a man, if you have constantly been given no as an answer, do not give up on yourself. You're a prince. Treat yourself as one. God is Love and He hasn't given up and will not give up on you.

Let true love find you. Allow yourself to be nourished and pampered by true love. Accept yourself and see yourself through the eyes of God. Today's verse of scripture says you're royalty. You're special and peculiar. You're not a piece of filth, no I matter how much you have failed, when you place your true in Jesus He cleans you and sees you as holy (set apart for noble use). You're the person God wants to display His beauties in and through. See yourself this way.

As you start carrying yourself in this light, you'll see things begin to fall in place. Your self esteem will shoot through the roof. Quality people will begin to come into your life, people of a similar noble mindset. This is how you find that person that really complements you.

Stop struggling. Stop manipulating people. Stop feeling sorry for yourself. Just handle yourself the way God sees you. You're the first point of call in the project of love, not someone else. As you start seeing and carrying yourself as the you God describes, the right person will come into your life effortlessly.
