at this point everybody knows about bidbots and they know the 'trending page' isn't about what is trending. there's also heavily curated tags that prevent people from using them. it's not perfect but there is some self regulating on steemit. there's still hope.
and i hope account-based voting and SMTs work as intended...
Exactly. It just annoys me to no end how grumpycat was always right, but his methods turned everyone away from how right he was.
It also sucks how everyone sees it clearly now, yet not much has changed.
Change? Steem Power can change. Having enough Steem Power can change better. Having being the creator of Steem and have enough Steem Power, you can even delete a comment, a post, alter the blockchain which can't be (not supposed to be) alterable. Stay below radar. Comment on what you should and what you would. Touch not the sensitive topic for the sake of survival skill. No longer feeling the fun of it? Create another account and be the 2nd grumpydog instead! don't worry about it. You'll feel better if your post gotten downvote, atleast someone acknowledges your voice. But if it doesn't, you'll be continue wandering around and thinking what have I done wrong. Nothing wrong with you, neither do the grumpy ones. The only thing that doesn't agree here is, who has more power.
On the side note, why don't you boost this post and see if you get the downvote? But I guess it's too dumb right? By boosting a high risk and sensitive post, hoping you don't trigger the grump and groups.

Every account I've mentioned wants to nurture steemit in somee way, just like me, so I honestly don't worry that much about that. I would gladly boost it, though. I don't think it steps on anyone's toes, but I've got no SBD at the moment. I did make a few mentions which could get me into trouble regardless of boosting so I'm still anxious.
