With great power comes great responsibility - Why Storage blockchains have to be the future !!!
Who would say NO to more cloud storage for a lower price while guaranteeing safe storage ?
I fell in love with the concept behind SIA and some of the other storage blockchains from the beginning. A little bit of behind the scenes information. I used to work at a Fortune 50 company and was involved in discussions around the migration from company owned internal storage to AWS based cloud storage. There were a lot of discussions around security primarily. Companies, especially large bureaucratic ones are slow to move on these things.
Now, there is a big driver to move to cloud based storage.
Cost plain and simple.
The company I was with had tons of storage requirements. and it was just to expensive to keep buying their own hardware.
I am convinced that in time big companies will decide they need to explore moving to blockchain based storage, for security and for cost containment.
Companies also don't like the dependency on a single point of failure, be it Amazon, Azure or Google.

I am also very interested in blockchain storage technology. Have you experimented with IPFS? I've been researching it, but still have a lot to learn.
I downloaded the Sia app, but you need to have 2000 SiaCoins to start renting out storage. Have you tried renting out storage using Sia?
