Getting the best cut from your barber

in #bestcuttips7 years ago (edited)

Hello STEEMIANS

Remember I said in my introductory post that I'm a hairstylist{barber} right?
I'll be dropping a few tip on how you get a very good cut from your barber or braid from your stylist.

  1. FINDING YOUR BARBER/STYLIST: the only way you can get a good barber/stylist is if you ask around. You see a very nice cut or hairstyle on your friends, ask him or her where he/she got the cut. Even if you see a stranger with a nice cut, never be shy to walk up to him/her and ask of the shop he/she got the cut from, it'll also be a compliment to the person.
  2. KNOW YOUR STYLE: You should know the style you want, if not, research styles from the net, and save pictures if possible. It makes the work easy for your barber/stylist.
  3. BE REALISTIC: You have to be realistic, you can't be a guy with short hair and expect a cut that could only be done on a long hair.
  4. INTERACT FIRST: Before your barber starts with your hair, you should interact with him/her, thats when you can also tell him what you want and show him pictures if you have any.
  5. STICK WITH WHAT YOU WANT: Don't let your barber/stylist talk you into making another cut/style knowing that's not what you want.
  6. ARE YOU GOOD WITH THE CUT YOU WERE GIVEN?: When your Barber/stylist is done, take a good look at what you have, if you feel anything is off anywhere, call it to his/her attention for correction, you are paying for it aren't you?.

I hope you all find these few tips helpful.
