A walk in the misty forest

This photo was shot during golden hour. The clothing might not suggest it, but it was quite a cold sunday morning when we decided to go out and take the a few pictures. This photo was the best from the session :)

When we arrived, we were quite disappointed that it was very misty. I had imagined the sun shining through the trees and the model then walking towards those sun beams. However, one we started shooting, the mist only added to the atmosphere in the photograph. So, I am quite happy with the soft effect it generated after all.

Unlike the photo suggests, there was not a lot of wind. I asked the model to hold and drop the dress, so that it would look less static.

For the composition, I decided not to place the model in the center, but to place her a bit to the left. This way, you can still see what she is walking towards! (An empty void of mist?) Anyway, I hope you enjoy the photo and the little explanation on how it was created!
