The glaring connecting tissue between the Bernie Bros and the MAGA crowd is this odd belief those groups tend to have in fixed pie, zero-sum, lump of labour fallacy stuff, which has all been thoroughly debunked already.

Like... no, there's not a fixed amount of wealth to be divided among people, and there's not a fixed amount of jobs. Neither of these things are stationary, and growth is a real thing that can be measured.

Sure, I guess that some resources are finite... there's a limited amount of land on Earth (as the Georgists blabber on about), eventually we can run out of oil even with drilling innovations, some chemicals we just can't synthesize, there's only so many molecules in the universe, and whatever. Alchemy is a myth and energy can't be created or destroyed. But things like dollars, ideas, jobs, population, and wealth are not just sitting motionless for all time.
