RE: Reality Check: Internet Purge of Dissenting Voices?
Since I saw first hand how Cisco Systems was used to buy out tribe.net back in the early days and then quickly moved to destroy it, I saw how the controllers of this planet intended to shut down free discussion online. I have documented (see my DTube and Steemit posts) recently how my comments on Facebook were deleted in realtime, how I lost the ability to post at all and how Facebook never even gave a reason. I have seen similar on Youtube and G+. Even Steemit has sadly shown a similar pattern for me after the technical manager 'Sneak' stated openly he will heavily flag anyone dissenting from the government position on vaccinations. This is an ugly situation, but the good news is that even the tech manager of Steemit cannot silence those who concentrate power in the name of free discussion and transparency. The worst he can do is insert functionality into Steemit which surreptitiously shuts down free speech - however, other sites can replace Steemit.com if that occurs. Many others have commented on this and it is clear that numerous people are well aware that this could snowball into a major problem.

My experience so far on Steemit and DTube has showed me the extent of the suppression. My message is exploding again.
Yes, the same for me. I actually created my own social network and it was delisted by Google Search. Google received a 2.1 billion euro fine for exactly this behavior a few months ago and I am considering legal action myself.
YT has been going downhill in many ways for 10 years now. Upgrades that were actually downgrades, year after year. Functions removed. Virality controlled. G+ required to comment.
Hell, they went as far as to make my ratings stop counting. First, about 4 years ago, my downvotes stopped registering. Then about 2 years ago, my upvotes went too.
The censorship is rampant and blatant. It's like they aren't playing a long game anymore. They know we know they're up to no good, and they know we can't stop them... yet. Steemit is a gamechanger just like internet-at-home was 25 years ago.
No one controls anything, lest you actively give them that power.
To change the world we must begin with ourselves, and the way in which we believe the worlds operates. 🙏

My expressions, my voice, doesn't have reach because I believe it will. It has reach, or lacks it, for reasons that have nothing to do with my feelings or thoughts, except insofar as I act on those thoughts to effect my voice.
YOU value, or fail to, my words, based on your beliefs. Just like errybody else.
Pretending to have some magic power to effect everybody, or anybody's, valuing of your words is not only deranged, it's without productive value. It's demonstrably a false proposition, and you might as well believe in a lucky rabbit's foot.
