185th German Beer Festival, Octoberfest Started from 22nd September to 7th October! #Ozapft is! Cheeeeers!
Get ready your beer buds! The 185th Oktoberfest has started! Oktoberfest renowned beer fest celebrated every year in Munich from September 22 to October 7th. Beer is flowing all around with the celebration and cheers, people are dancing, and making the atmosphere filled of fun! No work only fun in the fest. Mayor Dieter Reiter put the nozzle in the first cask on Saturday with 2 hits of a hammer and the voice of "O'zapft is".
As per local historical rules, he gave the first mug to Bavarian governor Markus Soeder, who initiated "the Oktoberfest” may be because Bavaria is largest and top calling card in the world."
Fest include lots of live music, fun fairs, historic dressings, mouthwatering German food, games, and love, making it the world’s most happening fun event. Approx. 5 million people are expected at the fest in Munich before the Oktoberfest ends on Oct. 7. Last year backpacks and big bags were restricted at the fest due to security concerns.
Beer price jumped again this year with half liter of beer costing up to 11 euros ($13).
10 Golden Rules of Octoberfest:
This year, large bags are banned
Any bags or rucksacks you do bring must not exceed a volume of 3 litres or a size of 20 cm x 15 cm x 10 cm.
Items not allowed are: Aerosol spray cans with hazardous contents; corrosive or staining substances; objects that could be used to cut, slash or stab. Glass bottles are too banned.
Pushchairs are not permitted on the site all day on Saturdays, nor on the public holiday for the Day of German Unity on 3 October. Furthermore, pushchairs will not be allowed onto the site from 6 p.m. on all other days. Security personnel may inspect pushchairs.
Bicycles, scooters, skateboards and similar are not permitted on the festival grounds.
Animals are not allowed.
