RE: Sending beer over the muir.
We had a couple of trips away with the kids like that.
14 days in a small "Pop. Up" caravan. It towed as a trailer, on arrical at the site the roof was lifted and the ends swung out giving a small to mid sized caravan, with an awning.
3 days in it started to rain, and it rained for a couple of days, the awning was flooded, three of the kids slept at one end while the 4th slept curled up on the flooir.
After the rain the sun dried up the ground quickly, being on beach sand, the wife was getting her tan, head in the shadow of the caravan, and catching a few zzzzs .
A cicrus had come to town and they were parading the elephants through the xampsite on their way for a sweim in the beach.
Imagane the reaction when she opened her eyes to see two enormous legs, one either side of her, a a long large wriggly thing coming towards her.
The best laugh for years.
Hahaha, that must have been quite an experience, waking up to that. 😁
My parents had such a type of pop-up caravan. (Called 'vouw-caravan' overhere.)
The weather sure can add an extra dimension to a vacation.
