Beer Tasting - Doppelbock ('Laško Special Striptis' by Laško Brewery)steemCreated with Sketch.

I hope you sold all your alts yesterday! If you haven’t… Well, I hope you did. Firestorm continues. Better go grab a beer and take some rest from trading.

Or maybe buy a dip? Who is that brave? I ventured into IOTA a little bit, gotta try something. High risk, high rewards, as they say!

My reasons:

  • it hit the previous lows, where it battled around resistance and support
  • RSI around 20
  • I like the project

Straight to the beer, no time for running around the city but I found one in the fridge! All in all, yuck! Just like markets today!

Laško Special Striptis by Laško Brewery

StyleDoppelbock
CountryLaško, Slovenia
Alcohol8.3%
--------------
AppearanceMedium white head.Amber brown color.
AromaHeavy malts. Artifitial sweetener. Corn. I don't really like it.
TasteMedium sweet with a lot of roasty aroma. Alcohol pushes through a lot.
PalateMedium carbonation. Medium body but somehow thin. I don't like the aftertaste. It's really artificial sweet and a bit metallic.
--------------
OverallI really didn't enjoy this one. I hate to stomp on it but macro breweries ahve a lot of flops when they try to push into craft market. I think this is a good example. The name didn't save it.
Score (subjective)7/20

Price: 13 kuna (2.05$) for 0.33 ml. Bought in a supermarket. Mid-range.

Thanks for the heads up, I would have tried this but just the thought of artificial sweetness is too much.

Okay bro @buzzbeergeek. I m waiting for my approval...i want to see how long it take...thanks

Good post.

Looking fabulous bottles of beer collections photography @buzzbeergeek. But it`s seems traditional and old looking like as some of brandy and whiskey..
However absolutely great post sir...
Have a nice day!!

I don’t like the style of the bottle and from your description I wouldn’t even try it

Hey @buzzbeergeek! Your posts really inspire me to do something similar here in Sweden. We only have one place to buy beer over 3.5% which is run by the state (Systembolaget). Thinking about trying one unpasteurized beer every day until I've done their whole offering! 🍺

I've heard about that. I guess there are pros and cons... Join #beersaturday! @detlev for more info!

Yes indeed, prices are quite high at least for most things...but at the same time most of the stores has a great assortment of beer, wine and spirits! Thank you for the info! 👍😀

Does that bottle say that it was first brewed in 1956? I wonder what has kept the brewery going that long. Heavy, sweet beer is not my favorite, either. It is really popular in the Caribbean, though. Guinness even brews an extra sweet stout for the Caribbean market. We tried it in the Bahamas and it was not terrible, but it would have been a shock if you were expecting the dry stout that is normally on draft.

Reading your review on this one already makes me understand to stay away from it! The name is sexy though...striptis!!!
