The Beauty of Living in a Bat Infested Apartment

in #beauty7 years ago (edited)

I hate bats. Actually with passion. But i recently began enjoying their company. The noise in my roof, the uncomfortable and endless movements and the stench that oozes from them has been unbearable. But at a closer observation i have come to like one thing about this smelly mamals. Bats are so regimented and organised that you wonder if humans are better. I have no need of my clock again because immediatly it is 6:45PM, they all file out from the holes and they know when to fly back. Now they dont miss the time, they dont. Before that particular time, they arrange themselves and ready to fly out of the dark atic. At first the sight was scary but i have come to begin to enjoy the organisation and orderliness that i now look forward to it every other day.

This leads me to a lesson that is worth learning. And that is that even in the darkest of the night, there is still something beautiful in it if only one looks deep. Beauty is everywhere, its in the ugliest of life's experiences. When it seemed all hope is bleak, a patient and closer observation reveals the beauty in the hopelessness. I have learnt to search for beauty in every situation, to look for a smile in every pain and to look out for a spark of lightning in every dark cloud.

While i wait for the experts to come and evacuate the bats because of the danger it portends to my family, I now enjoy the sight and appreciates the fact that life can be that beautiful

The particular time they fly out of the dark roof also has taught me that right timing is the key to achieving greater things in life because at that time we are at our maximum strenght with maximum performance and can maximize our full potential. So dont waste your energy trying to impress someone at the wrong time.

Dont just focus on the dark side of the coin, life is beautiful but only when we search it out. Dig deeper in your pain and discomfort, you will find a reason to smile. While you wait for your turn and time, make the most of what you have at hand. You have no reason to despair, enjoy all of it, they all part of the story.
