How to spend better a Sunday morning than exploring wonders of the local history with familly and friends of all ages joining from around the world visiting the beautiful and romantic city of Vienna?

On this morning as most of the Sunday it was the Viennse steemit meetup tourguide. At around 10h30, with @wolfgangsieberth we left @frameworks to go to the meeting point in front of the Opera House near Karlplatz to wait for the participants.

Meeeting point

To join the free tour, the meeting point is always at the exit of the Kalplatz Ubhan station in front of the funtain to begin at 11h. Usually, I am waiting with @wolfgangsieberth, the @globalschool participants, steemians & who want to join.

Below some of the place we have been visiting

We started at the Opera House, exploring the history and evolution of Vienna from the Roman Empire time. An occasion for the youngest to also dance. =D

Stop at Opera House

At he Opera House, @wolfgangsieberth made a point on the destruction of the monument during the war, and the event celebrating its reconstruction which was the first live event broadcasted in Vienna.

The state Opera (Staatoper) can host 2200 seats and standing places.

From the Sacher Hotel, we took the direction of the Albertina (https://www.albertina.at/)

On the way we stopped at the Pretzel kiosk "Bitzinger Wurstelstand Albertina", explaining that such place as the Museums which can be found everywhere in the city of Vienna. At this very one, you can meet very famous persons and sometimes see long queues of people waiting to have their food. It is a really well known and famous one!
Above a screenshot from tripadvisor showing the reality of the fame of the place.

Stop at "Das Schmetterlinghaus"

Then, we went to the Butterfly cage. (http://www.schmetterlinghaus.at/)

Well prepared, at each stop, @wolfgangsieberth showed and shared with us an historical map of the place we were visiting together as well explained the important historical facts.

Stop at the doors of the old fortified city

Direction hofburg, we contemplated together Heldenplatz in front of Hofburg. The gate dressed in the past is still the one you can see standing today.

Heldenplatz was the place were the unfamous Hitler took power.

Stop at the Hofburg

Arriving at Hofburg, after watching old cars, we get to know how the place is used today. We also learned that in the past it was the Imperial forum which is including the National Library inside the Hofburg walls. One time a year Pioneer festival is held there to celebrate creativity and entrepreneurship empowerement.

Last stops before the end

Pestsäule

After looking at the souvenirs shops in the street, we made a last stop before the end to contemplate the monuments dedicated to the Pest.

The Plague Column (German: Pestsäule), or Trinity Column (German: Dreifaltigkeitssäule,) is a Holy Trinity column located on the Graben, a street in the inner city of Vienna, Austria. See more on Wikipedia .

.@wolfgangsieberth is really good in finding interesting stories to share with the participants. I am glad to count on him to support this project I originally initiated.

Coming back at @frameworks I saw a message from @smartcoins on discord who was telling he was planning to come but maybe a little bit late did not find us. So for the next time, please take the phone number of @wolfgangsieberth (+43 69981611976) who is supporting the tourguide and coordinating it with me (as I still dont have a phone, its more practical to have his number in case you are joining us later and we are already on the way). ;-)

If you are not from the region, I advise you to check the website of the Vienna Tourism agency with whom I have been cooperating already on past projects making the cartography of the Christmas locations in Vienna for my project Christmas Map.

Come and visit us!

If you want to join for a #steemit exploration, #cryptoart @workshops to make for example some memorable @steemshirts, or if you need an accommodation during your stay in Vienna, do not hesitate to contact me or @wolfgangsieberth as we are both co-host at @frameworks where we would be happy to host you if you are coming around! Check more on one of our accomodation in Vienna by reading the article "Accomodation wanted" written by Radka (@ideamachine).

On the side of being a guest house, @frameworks is a co creative space and residence hosting notably the @ccommons.art, @globalschool, @generationeuropa, @silkroad40 meetups and activities such as @workshops, as well as it is used as coworking space by a serie of creatives and entrepreneurs. As seen in some of my previous posts and by the "com-lab" annoucement, I am seriously thinking to connect @frameworks to the steem and eos blockchain by creating a digital platform accessible in the space and by the web in order to call for contributors and ensure to reward them.

Join the @globalschool participants and steemians contributors next week at the "com-lab" to know more about how @frameworks can become an autonomous #CryptoArt space empowering the entrepreneurial ane creative community by providing various rewards systems and community services which would enable @frameworks to reproduce itself when reaching the proper conditions.

I am far to achieve this, but hopefully with your support I'll be able to demonstrate how this project can effectively participate to the #gift-economy and achieve its #ubi (universal basic income vision).

Next tour guide sunday 22.04.2018

Do not hesitate to join the next tour guide which is planned on the 22nd of April, starting at 11h, so it mean, it is better to be there 10 min before to catch the group or to contact me or @wolfgangsieberth by phone on the +43 69981611976.

We are looking forward to see you around!
With a lot of love,
Jean

Nice photo report. Good job @jnmarteau! :)

Thank you my friend @manncpt! Looking forward to see you joining this activity one of these next Sunday! I am sure you would make a fantastic photo reportage out of it!

this is really cool - great stuff! I am glad you included Bitzinger's - my fave place and the best hot dog stand in all of Vienna. I used to have my atelier not far from there, at the Palais Palffy on Josefsplatz, a short walk to the Albertina, and ate there often.

Hey my friend @thermoplastic thanks for your encouraging message and sharing your insights =) Hope to have you around for sharing with us more of interesting Viennses stories we couldn't expect to happen behind the walls. =)

I forgot to mention another trivia about Bitzinger: Baywatch actress Pamela Anderson is a frequent visitor in Vienna, and when she is here, there are chances you might catch her having a Käsekrainer at Bitzinger's! (Last time was about a month ago, I believe).

It's great you guys get to meet and share with people at a place rich in the history of music and more. Btw, bit of typo in the early part. Look for 'steeit'

Hey thank you @ace108 for stoping by and taking the time to share this feedback for improvement =) I really appreciate such attention! Hope to see you around more often and maybe joining one day in person this lovely city, in that case would be glad to host you and make you the visit!

ps: In between, would be really cool if we could find a way to cooperate as I see you have a lot of experience on the platform and with notably the @globalschool, @ccommons.art, @inyoursteem, @ideamachine, @covermaker, @steemshirts, @workshops, @frameworks, @innovations & @solidarity we are always looking for motivated steemians to support and empower always better the community. =)

You're welcome. Perhaps, one day I should look to visit Vienna.
Meanwhile, just enjoy the ride here. :-)

Seems we are sharing something we love in common! Thanks for your lovely comment @adalbert. =)
