Grow More Beard on Cheeks

in #beard6 years ago (edited)

So you have some beard growing on you, that's great!

But is the beard covering your cheeks properly? If not, you're not alone. Most of the men have some facial hair growth, and indeed, majority of men can grow good amounts of facial hair on their chins and upper lip.

Yet, only a small percentage can grow a thick full-beard that covers the cheeks.

Why? Well, two reasons really:

  1. Circulation in the cheek area is not as strong as it is on around the mouth, this results in less hormones and nutrients being delivered to the facial hair roots.
  2. Due to the poor circulation, the facial hair androgen receptors are usually dormant and not sensitive enough to bind with the beard growth hormones (testosterone & DHT). This prevents androgenic-hair from growing.

So how do you grow a beard faster on the cheek area?

Activate the androgen receptors

There are three supplements that have been found to activate the human androgen receptor, as well as increase its density in the skin and muscle tissue. (remember, androgen receptors are the gate-keepers of androgenic hair growth, and androgenic hair is what causes human beard growth).

Those are Mucuna Pruriens, Forskolin, and an amino acid called L-carnitine.

Mucuna contains a protein called L-Dopa (levodopa), which has been found in two studies to serve as androgen receptor agonist, via functioning as a androgen receptor co-activator protein.

Forskolin on the other hand can stimulate a molecule called cAMP, which is a secondary-messenger between cells and hormones. Couple studies have shown that when cAMP increases, it enhances the functions of an enzyme called Protein Kinase C, and what the enzyme does, is that it increases the expression of the human androgen receptors.

Carnitine, has a somewhat unknown method of action, but two human studies have found it to increase the sensitivity and amount of human androgen receptors during exercise, and even without exercise (mind you, these are human studies).

Improve Cheek Circulation

Once your androgen receptors are primed up and activated by the tricks above, you only need to send hormone and nutrient rich blood into your cheeks to trigger beard growth.

This can be done by boosting your blood flow, and there's one special trick that works exceptionally well to make your beard thicker and denser naturally.

It's minoxidil, a popular scalp hair-loss drug (prescription-free, sold under brand name Rogaine).

Not many people know this, but minoxidil grows beard too. It's a potassium-channel opening vasodilator, and it works by shuttling fresh hormone and nutrient-rich blood directly into the hair follicle.

If you combine minoxidil with androgen receptor activator supplements, you are going to quickly see your cheek beard growth skyrocket, and hopefully this can finally give you that full, thick, beard.
