On the Bench Today - Another 26 bead Peyote Stitch Feather
26 beads around seems to happen often with feathers, and since last time I did Fire, I decided to do Ice this time :)
This is an airbrushed Goose feather, wrapped with deertan suede.
It was fun to bead the snowflakes. I don't normally make seasonal feathers because they are used year round, but I might do the other two seasons as well, just because it would be fun :)
Sweet. My partner is inside the trailer right now practicing peyote stitch! She just started with seed beading last year. Shje seems to be frustrated! Any tips to beginners?
Awesome :D and yes, show her my other post https://steemit.com/beadwork/@elew/on-the-bench-today-how-to-bead-peyote-stitch-and-design-hurdles
And if she has any questions she is welcome to ask me, or you can ;) I guess tell her I said to have fun, and just keep practicing, she will get it...
Very pretty. How does one wear the feather? Excuse my ignorance 🙃
Oh, no worries...these are made to be smudge feathers, not to be worn. I bead graduation feathers sometimes that are worn on caps, but they only have one lace to hook to the button.
They are very pretty.
I love it! Followed, upvoted and resteemed!
Thank you!
Beautiful stitching.. mine are always so loose that I give up about halfway thru... Especially peyote stitch.. that takes patience.. and proper string tension
Oh, thank you. Yes, the tension is important :) Just keep practicing, yours will get better. I put up a tutorial on how I do peyote over leather, so you can check it out if you would like...but let me know if you need any help, I am happy to if I can :)
Now that will be neat to see...all 4 seasons.
Yeah, I think it will be fun :) I might do some geometric ones first because the sell the best, but when I find 26 beaders I will do them...
wow now that's an awesome craft!
Thank you :)
Fabulous work, as always!
Thank you <3
