Internet-Wide Day of Action for Net Neutrality Gains More Support (Pornhub, Bittorent) - randomSTMITnews
So what actually is net neutrality?
Net neutrality is the basic principle that prevents Internet Service Providers like Comcast and Verizon from charging us extra fees to access the content we want -- or throttling, blocking, and censoring websites and apps. Title II is the legal framework for net neutrality, and the FCC is trying to get rid of it, under immense pressure for the Cable lobby.
There is a bunch of big/known companies that support this campaign. The site itself says: "
The FCC wants to destroy net neutrality and give big cable companies control over what we see and do online. If they get their way, they’ll allow widespread throttling, blocking, censorship, and extra fees.
On July 12th, the Internet will come together to stop them.
