20 days in the NBA

It is amazing how many storylines can show in just 20 days of NBA action. A small recap

Team starts

So far many expectations have been met and many have straight not been met. Starting with the Cavaliers of course who have had a terrible by their standards 4-6 start, with all the hype from the off-season with this team they just seem to be lacking chemistry, they almost are starting to look old. Lebron James has been amazing of course being the only bright spot for that team at the moment. The Warriors were off to a little bit of a rocky start but the sheer talent on that team has kept them to an 8-3 start with the Rockets unsurprisingly right there with the same record, playing without CP3 I might add. The Boston Celtics seem to be the only real dominant team in the East despite not having Gordon Hayward. The Celtics have shot out to an early 9-2 record. Some teams have been pleasant surprises such as the Orlando Magic, Indiana Pacers, and the New York Knicks. The Magic are currently sitting in the 3rd position in the East and have had a hot start with some amazing 3 point shooting. The Knicks and Pacers are both experiencing their future stars breakout seasons with Kristaps Porzingis and Victor Oladipo both having incredible starts to the season. Most other teams are sort of doing what was expected so far.

The Rookies

In all honesty, I was skeptical about all the hype about this draft class but I must say so far these rookies have been as advertised with most of the rookies having an amazing start to their careers. Pick 1 through 12 I would say have had zero straight up disappointments all showing up as the elite players they are. I have to also mention that the number 1 pick Markelle Fultz has been unfortunately the only rookie off to a bad start with an injury causing him to be sidelined indefinitely. Last years number 1 pick, Ben Simmons is, however, showing his worth leading the Sixers to currently having an above 500 record.

Bledsoe trade

As I am sure most people have heard by now the Suns and Eric Bledsoe have been at odds for a while now and have finally decided to make a move by sending Eric Bledsoe to the Milwaukee for big man Greg Monroe and two 2018 draft picks. This will give Giannis Antetokounmpo some elite back-court help. This move I believe will be an amazing trade for the Bucks as it will be enough, in my opinion, to give the Bucks a real shot at the finals especially considering how well
Giannis Antetokounmpo has started out.
