My Cinnabon Disaster
So I just felt the need to share my lovely attempt to at baking.
My mother saw a lovely post on facebook about these cinnabons you make in a microwave and thought to herself "wow that's cool my daughter should make them". Thus after arriving home from work I started on making these things that were to turn out similar to the picture below (I did not use the actual picture from the article)
THEY DID NOT TURN OUT LIKE THAT. I had to make 9 of them which took me about an hour and a half. I should have known something was up when i saw all this organic flour and stuff but no, I just substituted for the normal stuff. Now after lovingly following the recipe to the T I finally finished these and took them out of the microwave.
Then I thought hmm these look raw so i put them in the microwave for even longer and eventually transferred them to be put in the oven
So after being in the oven half of it was raw and the other half rock hard. Not only did i fail at making them but i also proceeding to give everyone in my household stomach aches for the night. After rereading the recipe i came to the realization that the author was VEGAN and i was not using vegan ingredients and thats why it flopped
Moral of the story- If the author is vegan use their ingredients specified or find another recipe
