When working with dough, how did you feel? Was it easy? Or complicated. Tell us about your experience.

I followed all the steps as per the lesson and what I understood. Making bread is a difficult task. First, you need to prepare the dough and let it rest. For the dough, I combined all-purpose flour or maida, warm milk, a little oil, a pinch of salt and yeast, butter, and egg.

Kneading the dough to make bread is very important. All the ingredients must be mixed well together. It must be pressed and kneaded well. My hands hurt when I kneaded it.

The kneaded dough should be left in a bowl for 3 hours, at the same time it should not be dried and kept moistured, only then can it be made into a nice, fluffy bread.

Make a creative loaf of bread by choosing one of the recipes given in class, documenting the step-by-step process, and remember to use the poster with your username, date, class tag, #bakery-s22w6 , presenting your creation as an end-of-course presentation. Creativity will be assessed in the final presentation.

INGREDIENTS

💚 All-purpose flour 💚 Yeast 💚 Oil 💚 butter 💚 Sugar 💚 Egg

Step1 :

In a mixing bowl, combine a cup of warm milk, one and a half tablespoons of yeast, and two tablespoons of sugar. After thoroughly mixing the sugar and yeast with the milk, cover the bowl and let it sit for 15 minutes.

Step2 :

After 15 minutes, when the yeast has activated with the milk and is full, take it out and add three cups of all-purpose flour, which is three times the amount of milk you used. Then, crack an egg and pour it in. Knead in 70 grammes of butter and a quarter teaspoon of salt until smooth.

Step3 :

Apply more butter or oil to the kneaded dough to keep it moist, then cover with a damp towel or a lid for three hours. When the dough is covered, it will aggregate and appear larger.

Step 4 :

Then, take it out and spread the dough on a chapati rolling table, rolling it to a half-inch thickness.

Step 5 :

Cut the dough into triangles using a knife or pizza cutter and roll them out to create a beautiful design. Similarly, twist the remaining dough into ropes and create a spiral shape. Create many similar shapes in various ways.

Step 6 :

Now place these on a glass plate in the oven, spread butter on it and bake in the microwave at 180 degrees on the convection option for 25 minutes.

After 25 minutes, turn off the microwave and take out the finished bread. It might be hot, so wear the gloves on your hands.

What challenges did you encounter during the preparation of your creative bread and which of the teacher's suggestions did you like the most? (2pts)

First of all, this is not our traditional food, so we don't have much experience with it because our elders didn't teach us this, we only learned it by reading on Steemit or watching on YouTube.

Creating unique breads is a difficult task. First, create the dough and let it rest. For the dough, I blended all-purpose flour or maida, lukewarm milk or water, oil, a bit of salt, and yeast.

Now, roll out circles and triangles from the dough to create the form. I made a lot of odd forms. Now bake them for 25 minutes in the oven. Baking these appears to involve a conflict between high heat and the low smoking points of the fats I have on hand.

The food items were burnt because I didn't maintain the right amount of time and temperature during the initial baking. I learned this through many attempts, and this time I have successfully completed it.

When you cut the dough in a triangle, I remember our theme last week which was about pizza.

I like to make cakes or bread in a practical way, and I find the bread you make very practical and it will save time. I like the way you form some patterns on the dough, it looks more creative
