17.01.2025.
Today I spent the whole day with my husband. First, household chores. Then I had to go to send the package. And then we went to his workshop, took some things there that he needed for the work that he had taken from home to do, because it is very cold in the workshop now. It is located on the territory of the factory, and now the lights and heating are often turned off there. That's how the day went. It was as if she did nothing, and the day was almost over.
On the way home, we stopped by a store. But suddenly among the lines I see a woman with a familiar face. We broke up. But a picture swarmed in my head, very, very quickly. The memory was scanned at the speed of light. Having not moved 3 meters during this time, I returned again to the row of the store from where I had just left.

  • Zhanna? Are you Zhanna? - I asked. - Zhanna, is that you?
At my voice, the woman looked around and it was clear that her brain was also scanning her memory.
  • Oh, God... - was all she could say. - We hugged.
I almost cried from such a meeting! And the fact is that she is my classmate and friend from school. I finished 8th grade and left the city. We haven't seen each other since then. That is, since 1982! This is the first reason. And the second reason is that the city is Kupyansk. Which is now at "zero", that is, the front line passes right through their homes. Some people still remain in their homes, and many people are scattered around the worlds for many years, destitute. Zhanna is now one of those... And my heart was immediately horrified to see my school friend here, among these store shelves. Not an easy hour brought her here.
Her entire family left Kupyansk and now live in Kharkiv. We exchanged phone numbers and now I will be in close contact with her, and maybe I can help in some way. We did not have the opportunity to have a long conversation standing in the middle of the store. I am writing these words and tears are rolling. Zhanna is not the first of my acquaintances who left her hometown because of the war, which Russia has already brought to our land once again (Russia wrote this clarification for those who do not understand who the conversation is about).

And in the evening she baked a pizza and we had dinner. Yes, this kind of food in the evening is harmful, we know))) But I wanted to take part in the competition held here. But I still haven't figured out how to send invitations to friends under the terms of such contests.

And I also want to show you how many rooks fly every evening in our area. There were always a lot of them in Kupyansk, too. Somehow I am not at ease with so many black birds in the sky. Brrr…..
