Brighten the corner where you are.

They say the golden rule of life is to do to others what we would like them to do to us. If I am to add to that, I would say the silver rule should be that if we cannot improve on the life of people we should at least not worsen their life. Imagine how better and safer the world would be if we all apply these rules in our daily encounters. Unfortunately, the opposites are true of our lives. What we don't like to be done to us is what we like to do to others. And any place we go, we leave there worse off than we met it. Selfishness and wickedness have so engulfed our hearts. But however low our morals have degenerated , there is still hope for us. We cannot change the world but we can change our ways. We can be the change we want to see. Let us brighten the corner where we are. Let us endeavor to make people's life better rather than bitter. Let us make positive impact on people's lives. Do not be selfish. Be selfless!!
