Between the new moon that happened in Scorpio on May 10th to the full moon in Gemini on May 25th, there is a window of opportunity everyone should take advantage of. The new moon asked us all to excise something out of our lives so that we can bring in the new and set an intentional course for the future. What you were asked to examine and purge depends on what house this landed in your chart. Here is an ultra-brief summary of the theme of this last new moon based on your ascendant sign.
Aries: Rebirth, transformation, sex, the occult.
Taurus: Friends, networks and connections.
Gemini: Diet, health, work and daily tasks.
Cancer: Creative self-expression. Finding new paths and outlets.
Leo: Home, family, re-organize, prioritize.
Virgo: How you communicate. Authenticity. A desire to be heard.
Libra: Earned income. What you value. Security.
Scorpio The self. How the world sees you. Reinvention.
Sagittarius: The deep mind. Self-sabotage. Letting go of old hurts.
Capricorn: Networking, group efforts, a need to connect.
Aquarius: Career and status. What do you want to be known for?
Pisces: Learning something new, spiritual growth, change, renewal.
This is the most general description of these energies and much depends on your personal planet placements and transits. But the overall influence is there and causing many people to stop, think, revise and replan. That begins with this new moon, letting go of obstacles, self-imposed or presented, that are holding you back. It’s the time to set intentions to refine these areas as well as any other areas that need work. Lay down your old hurts, wounds and fears and dream of the life you want to have. This two week period is especially benefic for putting forth new intentions because some of the heaviest hitters in astrology are retrograde. Pluto = Transformation, Saturn = Lesson giver and time keeper and Jupiter = growth and expansion.
Saturn, the North Node and Uranus are involved in a fire trine to each other during this period. You could be making plans to do something with your life that you would never have considered six months ago. This is the energy that causes high paid professionals to walk away from the stress of the career and mortgage, buy a tin can camper and live by the river, selling paintings. It’s the stay at home mom who suddenly enrolls in school or starts her own business. Shortly after the full moon, from May 26th to June 4th there will be a glorious “kite” formation in the sky, a great time to give flight to your new plans, putting them into physical action. Even though the new moon happened five days ago, it’s not too late to think deeply about the areas of your life that need work and begin these changes. This is a time, especially with Pluto retrograde, to strip away the old that is not serving you and implement the new for a happier, more fulfilled, authentic life. So, if you’ve had the urge to shake everything off and go on your own unique path, this is why and more importantly, you’re not alone.
