I live in a third world country, Kenya, where the healthcare sector is heavily biased in terms of who should be able to receive advanced medical care and who should not. This is not only saddening but also fatal because I have witnessed people die just because they could not afford a certain medical procedure. In as much as the world wants to deny this fact, people in developing countries think otherwise.
I remembered just last month, and there was news all over local television channels of how a pregnant mother died at the entrance of a hospital just because she could not afford the required fee for safe delivery. Unfortunately, this was not the first case of negligence and ignorance; there have been numerous such cases. This greatly saddened me, and so I did what I do best, started researching upcoming blockchain projects, which could potentially help eliminate such events not only in developing countries but globally.
I am very excited to introduce to you today’s project because it is the ideal solution to this catastrophe that is heavily plaguing the healthcare sector. Blockchain technology is particular interest of mine mainly because it implements the principle of decentralization, which enforces some equality because the power is given back to the people. Before I go on rumbling about the numerous benefits of innovative blockchain technology, I would like to introduce you to this amazing project.
