Imagine time-traveling to a dark place filled with rustic tools.
Dusts shimmer as the rays of light hit your eyes.
The earthy smell tickles your nose, and something... something just sends shiver down your spine.
Mysterious and magical.
This is how I would describe the Al Fahidi Historical Neighborhood.
The buildings were patterned with traditional Arabic houses to let the visitors feel the ancestors’ way of life before these cityscapes and over the top technologies in the UAE.
Let me show you a snippet of my visit at one of the events which is yearly held in the Al Fahidi Historical Neighborhood – Sikka Art Fair.
Sikka is an arabic term for alleyway. Sikka Art Fair is an event where the alleys of the Al Fahidi Historical Neighborhood are being filled with music, films, exhibitions and programs that showcase Arabian culture.
Watch out for this yearly event every March and explore the old UAE.
