GWR Introduction

Hello steemers,

My name is Nelson and I'm the co-founder of Gaming War Room located in NYC. I have an amazing team of 5 people who work their butts off to create GWR. Our mission is to bring disadvantaged communities together through the world of gaming. GWR travels to various locations throughout NYC to host gaming events for all to enjoy and keep our youth off the streets.

Our gaming tournaments have been really popular with people ages 13-27 because it creates an environment where everyone can communicate, compete, and have an all around good time. We do charge to participate in our events because we currently do not have sponsors to support us. The funds generated to host these events comes from the 5 amazing team members within GWR. The funds raised during the event goes to pay back the team members, the venue and a portion goes back in to the community.

Our vision is to have a centralized location where everyone can come in and socialize, play new exciting games, play retro games and have an education center to teach anyone interested in video game design and multimedia.

We are looking to host another event in July and all steem gamers are welcome to participate. Even if you're not a gamer, come by and show your support. Here are a few pictures of our events
