Penrose triangle

in #art7 years ago

Although it was discovered independently by the physicist Roger Penrose (who bears his name), it is nothing more and less less than an ARTIST named Oscar Reutersvärd who invented it. This is an impossible object, it appears to be a solid object, formed by three straight sections of square section, which are joined together forming the right angles at the ends of the triangle they form. This post is to show a mural of one of those geometric figures.

In the process of the mural.

There are more polygons that comply with this feature of impossible objects, but for me, this is the most attractive.

Nice, we have a really, really cool Penrose Triangle sculpture near where I live in Perth, Western Australia.

Built in the middle of a round-a-bout, from one angle it just looks like a random sculpture poking this way and that:

But as you continue driving around the round-a-bout, the shape takes form:

Probably one of the most impressive pieces of public art I have ever seen in this city. It's just so damn cool, and a nice little hidden secret for those that know it's there.

You are very lucky to be able to see it live.🙌

Hello my darling, you are gonna rock here, hugs
